The global industrial-technology group CSG, through its subsidiary CSG Polska, has completed the acquisition of DOMAR MS, a renowned manufacturer of cabling, wiring harnesses, electrical boxes, fibre optics and a supplier of electrical connectors and other components used in the defence, aviation and space industries, as well as in dual-use products. This is the first acquisition investment carried out by CSG Polska.
DOMAR MS’s fulfilment of its existing orders on the Polish market remains secure, and the company will continue to develop cooperation with its current customers and partners. They can also expect the company’s production potential to grow.
Building new production capacities in Poland is a strategic objective of CSG Group. In cooperation with Polish partners, the Group aims to develop the domestic industrial base and thereby strengthen both the technological base of the Polish Armed Forces and the security of NATO’s eastern flank.
“The integration of DOMAR MS into CSG Polska fulfils our investment commitments in Poland. We are taking the first step towards building the holding structure of CSG Polska. The competencies and experience of DOMAR MS fit perfectly into our philosophy of ensuring autonomous supply chains. At the same time, this creates unprecedented opportunities for the company’s own development. CSG has prepared a specific plan for this entity, including investments, support for expansion into foreign markets and an increase in employment to 300 people already this year,” said Wojciech Grzonka, President of the Management Board of CSG Polska and Vice President for Sales at CSG Group.
“This is not only a step towards the company’s further development, but also a strengthening of Poland’s position in the European supply chain for the defence industry, which today is an important pillar of both security and a modern economy,” said Bolesław Janczewski, CEO of DOMAR MS.
The development of specific production capacities in Poland is part of CSG Group’s long-term strategy for its operations on the Polish market. The acquisition of DOMAR MS strengthens CSG’s technological competencies in key components required for the production of advanced weapon systems and dual-use solutions.
CSG Polska is building a holding structure and focusing on local content
“CSG Group has long been a key partner of the Polish defence industry. By beginning to build the CSG Polska holding structure with its own industrial plants, infrastructure, supply chains and employees, we are confirming that we intend to be permanently present in Poland as a strong part of the Polish industrial base and national security, in line with the principle of local content,” said Wojciech Grzonka, President of the Management Board of CSG Polska and Vice President for Sales at CSG Group.
The integration of DOMAR MS into the holding structure of CSG Polska will allow the company to be included in global supply chains, participate in international technology projects and expand the scale of its operations.
“We have developed an investment plan aimed at expanding the company’s production capacities, which will increase the competitiveness of its offering. At the same time, we stand by our previously stated declarations that Poland will remain the company’s core market and that DOMAR MS will continue to develop cooperation with existing customers and strengthen relations with partners,” added Wojciech Grzonka.
“By joining CSG Group, DOMAR MS becomes part of one of the largest defence groups in Central Europe, with a global scale of business operations. This creates very favourable conditions for building new competitive advantages and achieving long-term growth. With the support of CSG Group’s commercial structures, DOMAR MS will become a strong player on the international market for specialised components used in most modern defence products,” said Bolesław Janczewski, CEO of DOMAR MS.
“I am immensely proud of what we have achieved at DOMAR MS so far thanks to our employees, customers and business partners. I am also pleased by the opportunities opening up for us as we join CSG. Together with our new owner, we have the chance to achieve dynamic growth in order to meet the growing demands of the defence market,” added Bolesław Janczewski.
DOMAR MS – a long-standing partner of the defence industry
DOMAR MS has been active in the cable solutions sector for more than 30 years, and its infrastructure includes two production plants. The company employs approximately 220 highly qualified employees. DOMAR MS’s main areas of specialisation include wiring harnesses and specialised cabling designed for operation in demanding conditions, military-grade electrical and fibre-optic connectors, electrical boxes, electrical enclosures and control panels for military applications, and fibre-optic systems for applications requiring the highest levels of reliability and resilience.
DOMAR MS products are used in end products manufactured by companies operating in the defence, aviation and space industries. The company holds a particularly strong position as a trusted and long-standing partner of defence companies, including entities belonging to the Polish state-owned defence group PGZ, to which it supplies solutions for advanced weapon systems and modern technology platforms. Components manufactured and distributed by DOMAR MS are used, among other applications, in military vehicles, artillery systems, radar systems, communications and electronic systems, as well as naval, aviation and space platforms.
DOMAR MS is also present on export markets, where its products are recognised by customers primarily for their high quality, advanced technical competencies and the company’s ability to deliver complex projects. The company’s strong market position has also been supported by continuous investment in technology development and in increasing the efficiency of production processes.
The completion of CSG’s acquisition of DOMAR MS followed the conclusion of the necessary formal and control procedures. With the signing of the final agreement and related documentation, ownership of the company was transferred to CSG Polska. The acquisition process itself began in the second half of March this year. The contracting parties have decided not to disclose the value of the transaction.
Poland as a strategic market for CSG
CSG is taking steps to acquire further production competencies in Poland that will strengthen CSG Group and increase the security of supply of end products to the Polish Armed Forces, as well as key components for Polish arms manufacturers and export customers.
CSG’s strategic approach to the Polish market also includes establishing joint ventures with leading defence companies and making new investments in production infrastructure. The overarching objective remains to support key technical modernisation programmes of the Polish Armed Forces and to deepen long-term cooperation with the Polish defence industry.
CSG’s activities on the Polish market are not limited to offering products to the end customer. Above all, they are based on building long-term partnerships that enable the joint implementation of defence projects both in Poland and in third-country markets.
