Press releases
Eldis Pardubice, a member of the CSG group, has officially opened a new production and administrative facility. The investment of 100 million CZK will allow the company to increase its production capacity and provide new space for manufacturing, shipping, logistics, as well as development, administration, and training rooms. The dominant feature of the building is a seven-story tower that will house a 3D radar antenna. This will enable the company to test this advanced technology directly on its premises. At the same time, the new facility will allow the Pardubice-based manufacturer of active radars to continue its growth. This year, the company plans to hire around fifty new employees.

The production-administrative facility of Eldis Pardubice was officially opened on April 2 in the presence of company management, guests from CSG, representatives of the contractor, and officials from the city and the Pardubice Region. Among the guests were Professor Libor Čapek, Rector of the University of Pardubice, and Associate Professor Petr Doležel, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, with which Eldis Pardubice closely cooperates.

The new building was constructed within the company’s premises on the site of a former warehouse for metallurgical materials, a gatehouse, and a goods reception area. The total built-up area is 531 m², of which 424 m² is occupied by the four-story hall and 107 m² by the seven-story tower. In addition to the 3D radar antenna, the tower also houses building support technologies. The nearly 25-meter-high tower is made of reinforced concrete with a thickness of 300 mm to support the 13-ton 3D radar antenna.

“For our company, investing in the new facility was essential with regard to further development and growth of production capacity. We will gain new production areas, space for shipping and logistics, as well as new offices for development staff. One entire floor of the building is dedicated to a training center, where we will train radar operators from among our customers. However, the dominant feature of the new facility is undoubtedly the tower for the 3D radar antenna, which will allow us to significantly streamline the testing of newly manufactured radars directly at our headquarters,” says Vladimír Vojáček, CEO of Eldis Pardubice.

Tracking Distance, Angle, and Altitude

The 3D radar is a software-defined product developed directly by Eldis Pardubice. It is already commercially very successful and will increasingly contribute to the company’s overall production in the future. Unlike standard 2D radars, which provide only distance and azimuth information, the 3D radar also directly measures the altitude of detected targets, enabling precise three-dimensional positioning. The radar, designated RL-3000, has a range of up to 240 nautical miles (more than 400 km) and can detect objects at altitudes of up to 100,000 feet (over 30 km).

“The ability of the radar to detect not only distance and azimuth but also the altitude of the tracked target is crucial for applications such as airspace surveillance, air traffic control support, air defense, and situational awareness systems, where accurate altitude information is essential for tracking aircraft, identifying potential threats, and supporting decision-making in complex airspace environments,” explains Tomáš Müller, CTO of Eldis Pardubice.

Thanks to a fully innovated product portfolio, complemented by the RL-3000 3D radar, Eldis Pardubice is achieving success worldwide. While the company produced eleven radars in 2024, it manufactured more than twenty last year, and its order backlog promises further production increases. This has enabled the company to invest in building the new facility, expand production capacity, and hire new employees. This year, it plans to recruit up to fifty new staff, bringing the total number of employees close to five hundred. For comparison, in 2017, when Eldis Pardubice became part of the CSG group, it employed 152 people.

Close Cooperation with Schools

“We are looking for specialized positions across a wide range of roles—from manual workers to technical positions and highly specialized roles such as software developers. Because it is not easy to find specialists in Pardubice and the surrounding area, we maintain long-term cooperation with secondary schools and universities. At the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Pardubice, we have operated a classroom equipped by our company for several years. We regularly participate in career days and deliver lectures on industry topics for third- and fourth-year students. We are also the general partner of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Pardubice, where we take part in career days and professional lectures. Students of the faculty can also undertake internships with us, and we collaborate on their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses,” says Pavlína Novotná, HR Director of the company.

Thanks to these activities, the company is successfully recruiting new employees from among graduates. In addition to career growth opportunities in their field of study, they are also attracted by the company’s long-term prospects and its attractive product portfolio.
